The date sheet 2016 of Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) will be issued in the month of August and test will be organized in September 2016. All the students who have done their intermediate with medical or equivalent education and want to get admission in medical field for higher studies can sit in the MCAT test. The conduction of MCAT test is the responsibility of University of Health Sciences.
For the organization of MCAT exams provisional government take steps and make arrangements to organize the test to get admission in the medical colleges or universities (both private and public). The test measures the knowledge of students in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Organic Chemistry, Verbal Reasoning and Analytical Writing. UHS conducts test in different cities. Interested students must submit the application form in the respective university to continue their medical education.
Interested candidates of Punjab, Federal Capital area, AJ & K, and Northern areas aimed to get admission in the First Year MBBS against open merit/Reserved seats (except those nominated by Economic Affair Division, Islamabad) must pass the MCAT test with a minimum score of 60%. The Entry Test is valid for the same session only. The advertisement of admission is made in June and after that the university announces the date sheet. Every province follows its own schedule of MCAT test. Candidates can apply if they have done F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) Part-II or Equivalent Examination with minimum of 65% marks.
University of Health Sciences organizes the MCAT test in Lahore, Sahiwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala & Sargodha MCAT Entry Test. In Multan & D.G. Khan the conduction of MCAT is the responsibility of Nishtar Medical College, Multan. In Rawalpindi, Hasan Abdal Medical College Rawalpindi organizes the MCAT exam. In Bahawalpur MCAT is conducted by Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur. In Rahim Yar Khan MCAT is held in Sheikh Zyed Medical College, Rahim Yar Khan while in Faisalabad MCAT is organized by Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad.
